American National Red Cross
The American Red Cross is working with state and local partners to provide assistance to those affected and is deploying additional disaster teams and relief supplies to the area. Multiple shelters are providing refuge to hundreds of people, and the Red Cross will also assist with damage assessments once it is safe to do so.
Save the Children
Save the Children has been working in Kentucky since 1932 and had pre-positioned supplies which they mobilized within hours. They are planning to also deliver cash assistance to families in need. Emergency response staff are also coordinating with local and national partners to determine what will be needed longer-term to restore childcare, after school and other programs, and provide psychosocial support.
World Central Kitchen, Inc.
World Central Kitchen has multiple teams on the ground in Kentucky along with their food truck and the sherp (amphibious vehicle). They are preparing and distributing hundreds of meals with the assistance of local volunteer chefs.
