Colonial Capital Humane Society

Colonial Capital Humane Society is the only 100% no-kill animal shelter on the southeast coast of North Carolina. CCHS is run by volunteers, and funded completely by donations. The organization works very hard to save lives in an area where pets are often dumped, abused, or neglected. They are also involved with local efforts to change laws and increase punishment for people who mistreat pets.
