Conflict has affected millions of people since fighting began in eastern Ukraine in 2014. Now with the recent invasion by Russian forces and the escalating hostilities, the situation is becoming increasingly desperate. With many being forced to flee their homes, there is great need for humanitarian assistance. You can help by donating to the Ukraine Humanitarian Assistance fund which supports the efforts of the organizations below, and have your donation matched by Cisco Foundation, up to the limit of $25,000 per employee per year.

In late January, Tropical Cyclone Ana brought strong winds and heavy rains to parts of Madagascar, Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, impacting hundreds of thousands of people with devastating floods and landslides. At least 116 people have died, tens of thousands of homes have been damaged or destroyed along with schools, health centers, businesses, and infrastructure. Just two weeks later Tropical Cyclone Batsirai made landfall on the east coast of Madagascar with wind gusts of 146mph and torrential rains, causing at least 10 additional fatalities and displacing another 50,000 people; impacting many of the same areas already suffering from Tropical Cyclone Ana. Whole villages are reported to have been washed away by the latest storm. The situation in Ukraine remains concerning and our thoughts and support are with the people of Ukraine. Monsoon season arrived earlier than usual, bringing heavy rains across northeastern Bangladesh resulting in the region's worst flooding in over 120 years. As of mid-June, more than 900 square miles have been affected by floods, impacting and isolating more than 4 million people across several districts including Sylhet and Sunamganj. At least 40 people have been killed; homes, livelihoods and infrastructure have been destroyed. Since mid-June, Pakistan has been inundated with record levels of rainfall and flooding, affecting over 33 million people, and causing what Pakistan's Minister of Climate Change is calling the worst humanitarian disaster of this decade. Over 1500 people have died from severe rain and flooding across the country. According to the UN, over 660,000 people have been displaced to relief camps across the country. Pakistan's National Disaster Management Agency states that more than 1.8M homes, 12,700 kilometers of road, and 390 bridges have been destroyed.
