2019 Disaster Relief - Bahamas Hurricane Fund
Hurricane Dorian made landfall as a Category 5 storm, when it hit the Abaco Islands in the northern Bahamas, before moving on to the island of Grand Bahama. The intense and slow-moving hurricane has now lashed the northwest Bahamas for more than 48 hours, though it is slowly moving away from Grand Bahama island. The storm has brought widespread devastation; on the Abaco islands, at least five deaths have been reported and there has been extensive damage to homes and buildings. A complete assessment of damage and impact will take place once the storm has completely passed.
The Cisco Foundation has launched a $250,000 disaster response campaign to benefit American Red Cross, Direct Relief, Mercy Corps, Team Rubicon, and World Central Kitchen. The Foundation will match eligible donations up to $10,000 per employee. Donations will not be counted toward employees' annual $10,000 match limit.
