Sri is the Chief Executive Officer and Board member of Bright Funds and Bright Funds Foundation. He is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution. Prior to joining Bright Funds, Sri spent over fifteen years in engineering and management roles at Financial Engines, where he had led the platforms and services as the Vice President, Software Development. In that role he oversaw the marketing, CRM and investment management platforms, managing over $120 billion in assets and over $1 trillion in assets under contract. Sri holds a BS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Andhra University, a Masters degree in Control Systems from IIT Chennai, and an MBA from Cornell's Johnson School of Business. He is married with two children. He is an enthusiastic hiker and loves to travel all around the world.
Anna leads Business Development at Bright Funds, helping companies discover ways to amplify social impact using our tools. Prior to joining Bright Funds, Anna worked in innovation at Planned Parenthood and was the co-founder of a mapping analytics company. She holds a joint BA in geography and global health from Middlebury College in Vermont and was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. In her free time, Anna enjoys baking, hiking, hygge, and bourbon.
Chris leads product design at Bright Funds and has been with the company since 2013. His focus is on designing product ideas that help people and companies support causes around the world through giving, volunteering, and grants. Chris works across the full design process, from concept development, prototyping, and user interface design. Prior to Bright Funds, Chris helped design a number of products ranging from online education to healthcare.
As a Client Success Manager at Bright Funds, Rachel partners with program leaders to deliver community impact through Bright Funds. Rachel worked with several US-based and international nonprofits before joining Bright Funds and currently serves as a board member on the San Francisco chapter of the Armenian International Women’s Association. She played Division I softball at Georgetown University and graduated with a B.S. in Foreign Service with a major in Culture and Politics.
Robert is an architect at Bright Funds and handles software development and system configuration. Before working at Bright Funds, he lead teams and built solutions for financial services, state & local government, and social media. He actively donates to his local community and adopts cats & dogs in need of homes.
Scott Jacobsen is an architect at Bright Funds and handles software development and DevOps. Scott started programming on an Apple IIe in elementary school, and has been building software ever since. He is responsible for the architecture and implementation of many of the features on Bright Funds.
Prior to joining Bright Funds Scott was a founding engineer at Neighborland, a community development platform. Before that he worked on a wide range of products, from small startups to enterprise health care management systems. Scott lives in Colorado and tries to snowboard, hike, and bike as much as possible.
Thara leads Nonprofit Operations at Bright Funds. She draws on a diverse range of experiences both in financial services and nonprofits including FutureAdvisor and Global Fund for Women. She leverages her experience in building efficient and scalable processes as well as her enthusiasm to develop meaningful relationships across diverse stakeholders to bring to life Bright Funds’ vision for a better world. She holds a BA in Political Economics from Barnard College, Columbia University.
